Full Moon BBQ Website Redesign
Adding personality and texture to a well-known and well-loved BBQ restaurant staple.
As a southeastern BBQ joint favorite, Full Moon needed a website as warm, welcoming and inviting as their rich history, culture and people. We worked with their fantastic team to really dive into not only what their website would need but where they wanted their company to go in the future.
Through the course of that research process and working with their team, we realized they wanted to make a user-friendly website that allowed their customers to easily find menu items, order online and purchase merchandise. Another goal of the redesign was to get new information out to customers in a visible but less distracting way and to focus more on franchising and catering opportunities.
Full Moon BBQ has a robust menu that updates regularly per location, so we needed to make it both user-friendly for their customers and easy to update themselves. We accomplished this by creating a general menu that could be featured on the site with anchor points to quickly and easily navigate the user to what they are looking for. We also added individual PDF menus on each location page. Since Full Moon created these PDFs already, it doesn’t cause them to go outside of their current workflow to maintain their website.
Aesthetically, we wanted to bring in some texture and personality to the site through deep, rich colors and light subtle textures. Their previous site relied heavily on patterns, graphics and colors. We wanted to streamline this and create space for the photography and videography to truly highlight the Full Moon BBQ food.
